07/11/2008 Belantis welcomed 560.000 visitors in 2008
Belantis, a themepark in East-Germany, welcomed 560.000 visitors during the past season of 2008. It is the most popular leisure destination in the region Leipziger Neuseenland. Mainly the park attracts families with children and grandparents within an area of 50km. Belantis will be closed during the winter months until 11 april 2009.

Yesterday the Efteling, a theme park in the Netherlands, launched a new radio station: Efteling Radio. The station brings music, news and fairy tales. It covers an area of 15km around the park at 104.3 FM. People can also listen to Efteling radio at the website www.efteling.com.

11/07/2008 Plopsaland De Panne new ride in 2009
The Belgian theme park Plopsaland De Panne will open a new "Gerstlauer launch coaster" in 2009. The plans contain a launch from 0 to 90km/h in just 2 seconds, a tophat of 34m and 3 inversions: 2 corkscrews and a barrel roll. This project will cost € 7.000.000,00. 28/06/2008 New Bobbejaanland ride King Kong on hold
This season Bobbejaanland will not open its new ride King Kong. The development of the new ride, a prototype, needs more time. At this moment Huss Rides can not deliver a perfect working thrill ride. Probably the park will present King Kong next season. King Kong would have been the second new ride of this year. A few weeks ago the park opened a Splash Battle ride: Banana Battle.

Diegenen die zijn mee geweest op de tour
naar Scandinavië.. kunnen zich vast wel herinneren aan de
opmerking dat er geen anti-rollback op lisebergbanan zat. Het
schijnt dus nu mis te zijn gegaan. 2 Treintjes zijn namelijk
op elkaar gebotst in het station na een rollback, waarbij er
20 gewonden vielen. (niet ernstig gelukkig)
