On Sunday 1st of July 2007 Toverland opened its new top ride "Troy", a wooden roller coaster of 35 metres high with a maximum speed of 90 km/h. With this figures this coaster is one of Europe's fastest.

From December 2006 GCI built this custom designed topride with a length of more than 1000 metres. A woody of this size is unique in the Netherlands. General Manager Caroline Maessen describes the ride as “Unique, ful of delightful turns and surprising bends. And the speed... it stays... during the complete track around 90 km/h, unbelievably fast! But still, this ride is suitable for jong and old, a family ride which you get out of with a big smile on your face." The park hopes to get a stronger position on the European theme park world. Toverlands thinks to get 10% more visitors compared to 2006.

Troy is the first wooden roller coaster of (Great Coasters International from Sunbury, USA) on the European continent. There is also one in Finland (Thunderbird in Powerpark). Troy in Toverland is the longest, highest and biggest production of GCI in Europe EVER.
