The world has a new record breaking rollercoaster ride and it's now officially standing in the United Kingdom. Last Friday Flamingoland themepark and resort proudly presented it's newest thrilling rollercoaster to the press. ThemeParkVision's affiliated rollercoaster fanclub Rollercoaster Friends got the opportunity to ride it on that same day.

Mumbo Jumbo really is 1° steeper than the previous steepest drop, which is standing in the United States, but they never filed it for a real Guinness World Record. The one in the book until last Friday was Typhoon, a rollercoaster in the Belgian park Bobbejaanland, with a drop of (only) 95 degrees. Flamingoland is very proud of their new ride and they should be, because it is a lot of fun with many more original elements that make this ride the best of the park instantly. It starts off with a steep and fast lift. At the top the rides makes a nice turn which feels like one of a wild mouse rollercoaster, but this is immediately where the comparison stops. The first drop is that steep, it needs brakes on it to slow the ride down to a comfortable speed. Next is a wacky turn banked to the outside! It is super to sit at the outside and feel like you are going to fall out of the ride! What follows are two fantastic inversions, the first with a lot of hangtime, turning you upside down for a few seconds before launching you back to speed. The second is a kind of screwdriver but what's so great about it is, your actually going down as well! The whole ride is very smooth and comfortable with restraints that make you fee free enough, to add on the excitement.

All 24 Rollercoaster Friends loved the ride and were already hoping a Belgian park would consider to buy one! It's foodprint is small and is the perfect solution for parks with space issues. We wish to thank Nick Buckley, ride manager of Flamingoland, for his hospitality and we hope the park has a great season! Mumbo Jumbo will certainly add to the fun of all who visit!
